Our Mission Statement: "To Motivate Young People To Be Better Citizens."

 

The United States Army Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) was established in 1916. Under the leadership of our first Senior Army Instructor, Lieutenant Colonel Robert E. Porter, in 1973 the Vikings Battalion has lead Jacksonville, Florida in JROTC excellence. Our mission has remained the same, 'To Motivate Young People To Become Better Citizens.'

In our Vikings Battalion, we are family and everyone is apart of something, great. You will learn: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Self-less Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal courage. We engage in many exciting JROTC after school activities, such as, Raiders, Color Guard, and Drill Team.
